In India, completing 108 sun salutations is a deeply spiritual yoga practice representing a connection between the universe, mind, body, and spirit. It's often practiced during seasonal changes and on New Year's Day. In Hinduism, the number 108 is linked to the number of energy lines converging through the heart chakra. Sun Salutations are often practiced in the morning because they energize and heat the body. Completing 108 sun salutations could be a challenge, pushing one to their limits.
